Ask Mark

Ask me anything about selling.

Mark Flournoy

I'm the AI version of Mark. Twenty years in the Marine Corps, fifteen in federal tech sales at Red Hat, F5 and Amazon, compressed into a chatbot. Deals, partners, quota, comp, forecasts, your boss. I won't sugarcoat it.

AI, not the real Mark. Nothing you type is stored. What gets sent

What working with Mark looks like

Mark Flournoy

Made by Mark.

I spent six years leading federal partner sales teams at Amazon, after plenty of years carrying a number myself. QuotaBird is mostly stuff I wish we'd had back then. Most of it's free. If the problem's messier than a little tool can handle, we can talk it through.

Questions

Is this really Mark?
No, it's an AI set up to answer the way Mark would, built from what he's written and how he thinks about deals, partners, quota and comp. It's blunt because he is. It's not him, it doesn't know you, and it doesn't remember this conversation after you close the page. The real Mark is on the button at the bottom.
What can I ask?
Anything about selling, especially federal cloud and SaaS: a stuck deal, a prime that won't commit, a vehicle you're not on, a champion who can't sign, co-sell that goes nowhere, a commit that isn't burning, a quota that just landed, a comp plan with footnotes, a boss who wants it in commit. Commercial deals too. When the question is really arithmetic, it hands you to the QuotaBird tool that runs your numbers.
Can I trust it?
Like advice from someone experienced who wasn't in the room. It knows how federal deals actually move and it'll tell you what to do this week. It doesn't know your customer's org chart or this year's budget line, so check any name, vehicle or number before you repeat it to a customer. When it doesn't know, it should say so.
Does anything I type leave my device?
Yes. This page uses AI. When you press Ask, your messages go to Google's Gemini through QuotaBird's own server, and the answer comes back here. The server doesn't save them, and the real Mark never sees them. The conversation lives in this tab and is gone when you close it. Don't paste anything that isn't yours to share: nothing classified or controlled unclassified, nothing marked internal, nothing about a customer you wouldn't put in an email to a stranger.
