Need a second opinion?

Mark Flournoy

I built QuotaBird because most sales problems don't need another methodology. They usually need somebody to look at the facts and ask a few uncomfortable questions.

I've spent a long time around this stuff. I carried a number, managed sellers, led federal partner sales teams at Amazon, and before that spent 20 years in the Marine Corps. I've been the seller, the manager, the partner and the government customer.

I'm retired now, so I get to be selective about what I work on. I still like sales problems, especially the ones where something doesn't quite add up.

If you want me to take a look at a deal, quota, territory, pipeline, comp plan or whatever else is bothering you, send it over. I'll tell you what I think.

What it costs

The tools on this site are free and they'll stay that way. If you want my time, here's how that usually works.

Sales Reality Check

$200

One problem, like a deal, a quota, a territory, a pipeline, a comp plan, a QBR or a job offer. We spend an hour on it together, and afterward I send you a short write-up of what I think, what I'd push back on and what I'd do next.

I priced it so you can pay for it yourself without asking anybody.

Manager Wingman

Starting at $750 a month

For sales managers who want somebody outside the company to look at what they're seeing. We meet twice a month, and in between I'll look at a forecast, a rep situation, a territory question or a spreadsheet before an important meeting.

Think of it as a former sales leader you can call when something looks off.

Team Reality Check

Starting at $1,500

For a sales leader who wants the same kind of look across the whole team: the pipeline, quotas and territories, the forecast, a few big deals, or a working session with your managers. We can do it virtually or as part of an offsite.

I priced it so it can come out of a team budget without a purchasing process.

Federal

If you're trying to figure out whether there's a real federal business in front of you, or whether a federal business somebody's selling you is real, that has its own page.

A few specifics

At Amazon I was a Senior Sales Manager leading federal partner sales teams covering Defense, Federal Civilian, Federal Financial and National Security, about 25 partner sales managers working toward a shared goal of more than $1B. I closed a $54M four-year cloud agreement with a major DoD systems integrator. Before Amazon I was at F5, where I made President's Circle, and Red Hat. In the Marine Corps I worked on the government side of technology buying, including as a COTR. People I've helped have worked at Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle and a lot of smaller companies you've probably never heard of.
